CitationPack is informational preparation software for federal OSHA citation triage.

Not legal advice

CitationPack does not advise you to contest, accept, settle, or litigate a citation. Reports present deadlines, arithmetic, public-record comparisons, and questions to discuss with OSHA, counsel, or qualified safety professionals.

No guaranteed outcomes

Median reductions, deletion rates, and comparable-case figures describe historical public records for other employers. Typical ranges combine those figures with the recalculated penalty and fixed percentages of the proposed penalty. All of them are context for preparation, not predictions, promises, or guarantees of any penalty reduction, deletion, or other outcome in your matter.

Public-data limits

OSHA/DOL public data can show initial and current penalties, classifications, dates, and related inspection data. It does not reveal private negotiation discussions, informal-conference transcripts, or every fact affecting an individual employer. Cohort sample sizes and any fallback level are disclosed alongside each comparison. Penalty medians are computed over items with a nonzero penalty; deletion/zeroing rates are shown separately.

Federal OSHA scope

CitationPack currently covers federal OSHA enforcement only. State Plan states run their own programs with different rules, penalty structures, and deadlines; do not rely on CitationPack outputs for state-plan citations.

Deadline caution

Contest and abatement deadlines can affect legal rights. Confirm receipt dates, citation dates, holidays, and any OSHA correspondence before relying on any deadline calculation.

Counsel recommended matters

For fatality/catastrophe inspections, willful or repeat citations, penalties above $100,000, contested matters, or any issue involving litigation risk, use CitationPack only as preparation material for counsel.
